Great news wanderers!
I have always loved going to places I have never explored
before. However, more often than not, I get hesitant booking expensive flights
just to reach my dream destination. Now, my excitement is over the top! When I
heard about the most thrilling campaign #FlyForFreeFaster,
I knew right there and then that this would be the best shopping and travel
experience ever.
"We're excited to partner with Cebu Pacific and launch the newest fleet of debit and credit cards. We are bringing to market the first and only debit card that earns GetGo points, and credit cards that have one of the best earn rates in the country. I invite everyone to experience how the Cebu Pacific GetGo Cards turn everyday spending into points that let you fly for free faster," said Ana Delgado, UnionBank Cards Business head.
Remember the key words. FLY, FREE and FASTER. I’m sure
you’ll be enticed, too.
One of the leading financial institutions in Asia and the
Philippines, Unionbank and, the largest carrier in the Philippine air
transportation industry, Cebu
Pacific recently launched #FlyForFreeFaster,
through its lifestyle rewards program, GetGo,
in partnership with Visa. The newest fleet of debit and credit cards will be
your ticket to your most awaited trip.
You may have already heard of credit cards or airline
membership programs that let you earn miles that you can use to book flights. Well,
no need to spend much to enjoy the perks of the incentive program. With
purchases as low as Php30 and Php88 using the eligible credit and debit cards,
respectively, you can earn GetGo
points fast and easy. It will absolutely make you travel sooner.
How does it work?
Upon account opening, your GetGo account is also established where the points you earn are
automatically credited. Plus, you can closely monitor your points online and
use them to book flights in the comfort of your home. No more extra step for
you to do. Simply shop, earn, and travel.

At this point, you may already be wondering
about the merchant partners that will help you produce GetGo points that will
take care of your travel. I was overwhelmed to see the long list of stores I
can shop and swipe my card at. Surprisingly, they are everywhere, and we have
been going to these places regularly. I’m truly happy to know that Unionbank and Cebu Pacific affiliated with a lot of other companies to make this
campaign big and successful.
You can earn GetGo points by shopping at Robinsons Department Store, by getting
groceries at Robinsons Supermarket, Robinsons Selections, and Robinsons
EasyMart. Buying new appliances at Robinsons Appliances will also give you
points, even when you gas up at Petron or when you want to go for coffee and
pastries at Costa Coffee. Grab a bite at Ministop and help your overdue
vacation come true. Other stores you can go to include Southstar Drug, True
Value, Toys ‘R’ Us, Daiso Japan, Handyman, AM Builders Depot, Topshop Topman,
Warehouse, Dorothy Perkins, Shiseido, Shana, Burton Meanswear London, Miss
Selfridge, Benefit, River Island and G2000.
Before the celebration at Unit 27 in Bonifacio
Global City later that night, I, together with other bloggers, kicked-off the
event by checking in at Ascott, BGC courtesy of Unionbank
and Cebu Pacific last May 30. I and my friend Jenny had a 3-bedroom
suite for ourselves and our families.

We were all given our own Cebu Pacific GetGo Debit Card by Union Bank to use for our shopping that day. I won 1000 points
with my flat lay Instagram post of the travel essentials I purchased at R.O.X.
using my Cebu Pacific GetGo Debit Card by Union Bank. The points I earned from my purchase will also help me #FlyForFreeFaster.
I
also won 15,000 points during the latter part of the day when we were asked to
swipe our cards to get the chance to win the raffle. I am so ready for my beach
getaway!
"We're truly excited about this project because we believe the new Cebu Pacific GetGo cards will enable the digital economy, and we believe that this is the new frontier," said Edwin Bautista, UnionBank President and COO.
"We are very pleased to launch the new fleet of cards powered by UnionBank and VISA. These debit and credit cards are the perfect way to accelerate a trip to a dream destination. Now, you can also shop once and earn points twice from both your GetGo card and Cebu Pacific UnionBank credit or debit card, through our new partners Robinson's Department Store and Robinson's Supermarket. With Cebu Pacific GetGo and UnionBank payment cards, swiping has never been this rewarding," said Nik Laming, GetGo Loyalty Division General Manager.
We closed the day with a higher level of
excitement than before. I enjoyed the brilliant speeches from the heads of Unionbank and Cebu Pacific GetGo, the prices and the partying. The entire event was
delightful. The launch opened a lot of opportunities for all of us. Thank you
to the team spearheaded by Unionbank
and Cebu Pacific GetGo, the merriment was
sustained from beginning to end.
We were all happy in our stay at Ascott, BGC and
we enjoyed the celebration at Unit 27. It was like a prelude to a great life of
reachable adventures.
