Being very meticulous is just natural for us moms. We want everything to be spick and span – from the surfaces in the living room to the very corner of our bathroom. Personally, having three sons, I can attest to how difficult it is to maintain order and cleanliness at home. One minute the whole shebang looks tidy, then the next minute it would seem like a tornado just passed by. And this is regardless of the part of the house - could be in their bedroom, kitchen, and even our toilet. You don’t want to know how boys can be so messy, and how stinky our bathroom can be after they use it. Toilet sanitation was definitely a headache!
Well, that was all before I know Domex, the germ expert. As a mother, it’s not just the time and effort I put in that I’m apprehensive about when we talk about sanitation. On top of everything, I’m concerned about my kids getting sick because of germs found everywhere. Remember, it is not enough that a toilet looks and smells nice. Since germs are invisible to the human eyes, I have always wanted a partner to fight them.
Domex put emphasis on the importance of clean toilets, having participated in the One Million Clean Toilets project where they pledge to educate 1 million people on proper toilet sanitation every year for the last three years. According to Domex’s Research and Development Manager Amor Montefalcon-Prieto, it is essential to use a specialized toilet cleaner to stay 99.9% germ-free. Domex has triple-action formula – thoroughly cleanses, lasts longer, and has the ability to access hard-to-reach areas inside the toilet.
Some moms out there may already be or have gotten used to using laundry detergents or thin bleach to supposedly “disinfect” toilet bowls and the entire bathroom.
Domex is five times thicker than regular bleach or cleansing agent, thick enough to remove stains even without scrubbing it yet. It can kill a wide range of germs such as various fungi, bacteria, and viruses. So, I know we are in good hands.
I was very pleased to be part of the World Toilet Day celebration last November 19 as observance of the global sanitation crisis. I didn’t even know there was such a thing! The event at The Mess in Makati was full-packed with guests and learnings. It is the firm advocacy of Domex that everything, including proper sanitation, starts at home.

“We are very passionate about our mission to fight disease. And we continue our pledge of clean toilets through our partnership with the Philippine Public Health Association, Maxicare, and UNICEF” said Domex Brand Manager Patricia Deyto-Santos.
Proper sanitations starts at home. Therefore, I join Domex in the #1MCleanToilets movement. I also encourage you to be an advocate.
