Dreaming of having an afternoon of tea and French bread in Paris? I thought I was one day when I got invited at the very sophisticated L’artisan Café in Serendra, Bonifacio Global City for a French-inspired #LOrealSwatchandShoot event.

Together with other bloggers/vloggers and beauty enthusiasts, I was transported to Paris where magnificence and fashion are definitely a thing. Indeed, the combination of the café’s gorgeousness and L’Oreal Makeup Designer/Paris is both awe-inspiring and intimate. I loved every bit of it!

L’Oreal Swatch and Shoot event introduced new shades and range of products that every Filipina would adore. I have always been a fan of L’Oreal beauty products, especially the make-up, and I absolutely enjoyed trying them on I thought I couldn’t stop myself. The natural glow L’Oreal gave me is something I wanted to have every single day. Nudes are trending now, the simpler the better. I felt beautiful and confident because the shades are easily wearable.

Color Riche La Palette Nude (Php 800)

This is the newest eye shadow palette collection from L’Oreal Paris. If you are like me who is challenged when it comes to blending colors, this is the perfect palette to experiment with. You know you will never go wrong with these shades. Pure Garnet is a best-seller because of its deep wine color that looks flattering on all skin tones. Aside from makeup, I choose my get-up very well and add some accessories to look better. Of course, I want to make sure my look is appropriate to whatever event or activity I am up to. I must admit that there are a lot of times when I can hardly get my overall look to agree with me. I don’t want to be over nor under-dressed. Our hair, every woman’s crowning glory, will always play a vital role in creating a lasting impression. Nowadays, a fabulous hair is no longer just a part of a pretty lady’s body. The event last May 17 was a blessing in disguise just when my hair needed it the most. Because of my hectic schedule, going to a salon for some “me” time won’t be possible as much as I wanted to. Revel, The Palace was a spectacular scene with unflinching colors that packed the room.

 I have been coloring my hair since I was 13, and, it’s a pain in the neck sometimes. I have tried DIY, bleaching, and salon treatments. Along with other undesirable results, I would either get an uneven hair color or damaged roots afterwards. I realized that the product and technique must be combined to get the perfectly vibrant hair color.

 During the event, I enjoyed the interactive activities that gave me different creative ideas in doing my own hairstyle and color. We were introduced to various tips and hacks straight from the experts. 

And the best part? I had my hair colored using Revlon Colorsilk Luminista in Light Caramel Brown! I haven’t tried this color before and I thought to myself that maybe it would work. I was surprised it absolutely complimented my skin and overall look! You, too, can stand out with your dye choice – burgundy browns, fiery reds, or blonds.

Recently, I attended a beauty community meet-up called Shopee Beauty Affair at Prohibition Lounge where I learned valuable make-up tips from celebrity makeup artist Albert Kurniawan who conducted a makeup workshop on creating a Day-to-Night look and tips on choosing the right makeup when shopping online.

He says that when it comes to shopping for makeup online, one must find a trusted marketplace that offers a range of products suitable for every occasion.

Beauty enthusiasts are different from other enthusiasts because they look to expert opinions and peer reviews before buying anything online. I was very excited to meet Solenn Heussaff, Chesca Garcia-Kramer, and Dawn Zulueta-Lagdameo!
