I’m still in awe from the past weeks that I had to remember vividly what happened from then. I am out of words from witnessing my son’s growth and development through his passion for dancing when he danced gracefully at his own birthday party. Though at first he didn’t like the idea of dancing in public because he’s normally shy around other kids, he was able to mingle with them and was able to overcome his fears in introducing himself to other people. He was able to dance in front of other people and impart his ideas with regards to dance choreographies that I didn’t know he had in him when he was younger. All I thought was he was just exploring and trying to find out what he wants to do. But little did I know it was turning into his passion and more so, something he would do on his past time. My husband and I support him in everything he does because we want him to prosper in the field that he chooses.

Good thing there are camps that offers summer workshops for kids who would like to spend their summer break to learn and hone their skills and talents. This is what Promil Four i-Shine Talent Camp 7 is all about. It is a summer talent program spearheaded by various individuals who excel in the field of drama, music, and the arts for kids aged 6-11 years old.

The recital was recently concluded and watching a lot of kids get better and grow in their respective fields is fulfilling as a mother who knows what it feels like to see your children improve. Kids around all ages being cute as they dance to groovy rhythm, sing in wonderful tunes, paint and draw figures, future thespians acting- all of which are very much enjoyable to watch. I have witnessed a lot of recitals and plays but I must say watching these young kids prosper and sine in their own ways, this must be the cutest and most enjoyable show that I have watched.
Be sure to keep supporting your child’s potentials and if you missed this year’s Promil Four i-Shine Talent Camp 7, make sure to enroll them next summer because for sure there would be more surprises that your children will enjoy! Take part in your child’s development and enjoyment as they nurture their gifts and enjoy at the same time. Be a proud parent as they unravel their inner talents and improve them as time goes by. Together, we can all be proud that our children are all past i-shine scholars.

See you all next year for Promil Four i-Shine Talent Camp 8! Hope to see you all there!

Located at the heart of Manila and right at the country’s cradle of arts and culture, the Eton International School rises as the first world-class learning institution inside the prestigious grounds of the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP).
Eton International School-CCP stands proudly amongst landmark structures—the Folk Arts Theatre in its north, the Coconut Palace on the east and bordered in the south by the Manila Bay, world-renowned for its spectacular sunrise and glorious sunsets.
“ETON is the school of the future where learning happens beyond the four walls of the classrooms. It is a place where kids will feel safe to learn, grow and multiply their talents exponentially,” said Ms. Jacqueline Marzan-Tolentino, Eton International School Directress.

ETON has created three pioneering programs—the Center for the Talented and Gifted for the pre-schoolers; Center for Leadership and Performing Arts for grade school and Center for Technology and Innovation for high school.

“What sets ETON apart is how we nurture the leadership potential in each child. Our mantra is every child is a leader and every child can be a hero waiting to be unleashed. We take time out to know about the child’s strength and weaknesses so that we can match our teaching style to our students’ learning style. This allows the students to learn, faster, better and higher. Eton International family culture allows students to grow and create better relationships in their family and community. It only takes love to break all barriers in the mind, heart and soul. With our multiple local and international programs, each child is given the chance to find his gifts, strengthen their resiliency and build their confidence,” Tolentino adds.

THE ETON EDUCATION
Tolentino further explained that the Eton school philosophy is that “Every child is born with Royal Dignity.”

“We believe the gifts and calling of each child is irrevocable. A child’s worth is built in. It is our mission to open their mind to possibilities, strengthen their competency and skills and inculcate values that will set them for life,” she adds.
Eton’s motto is Artes (Heart), Scientia (Mind) and Intelligentia(Will or Spirit).

“Every child is nurtured to inspire, to innovate and to lead a life in honor of God and service to humanity. Every Etonian leads with humility, courage and heart,” Tolentino said.
Eton prides itself of its small class size that allows them to focus on the development of each child’s multiple intelligence especially in the crucial foundation years. Tolentino describes this as strengthening their roots to allow the children to be resilient as they grow and bloom and ready to conquer the world.

The mission of Eton International School, Tolentino explained, is to help develop leaders for the 21st century.
“These are leaders who are creative, critical, caring, compassionate, communicative, collaborative, confident, country loving and cross cultural,” she says. “We refer to these as the care values embedded in each child.”

“He dreams big by taking small steps. A small act of courage to press on towards his dream to lead his generation to a better life. As a mother who enjoys taking care of my family and making sure that our welfare is never compromised, I always make sure to check even the tiniest details of the things that I buy for them or for the household. Last week, I recently stumbled upon Asvel products and found out that it’s a new addition to Miss Kris Aquino’s newest home favorites. I thoroughly researched about their products and opted to try them because knowing Kris, she won’t trust a brand that would put her family in danger; one of the few things I like about her is her love and care for her family. So, the moment I found out she was endorsing Asvel, I really became more interested.

Asvel recently launched its first store in the Philippines having Kris Aquino as their brand ambassador. Sharing her baon tips for her sons and also how she prepares her food and puts her trust on Asvel products in keeping their baon fresh throughout the day.

Asvel is a home care brand which recently flown from Japan and it aims to quickly target the market’s needs and focus on carrying out advanced development concerning household products that we mainly use day by day. It covers a wide range of products from food storages to lunch boxes, kitchenware, sanitary ware, and even garbage containers providing a lifestyle change to consumers in a more friendly way to the community because all products are reusable such that people won’t be using too much plastics. They also try to achieve high quality and stable supplies catering to the needs of people domestically and overseas. They continually strive to become the most highly trusted full range manufacturer of housewares that would suffice the needs of people in terms of tools and equipment we use every day.
They offer an extensive line up of items that will surely suit your needs.

They offer thermal lunch boxes containing different bowls that will enable you to carry along lunch dishes that needs to be served in large bowls or plates, leaving you with a wide range variety of choices of food to cook and choose from.

One of my personal favorites is the Asvel Rice Dispenser  which stores rice to maintain its freshness and moisture by sealing the rice container tightly. They also have measuring functions which I love and its drawer type bins that are very much convenient in modular kitchens.

Their water jug is designed for easy pouring and storage, having it also in wide range sizes with high functionality measurements. Its handle is also designed for easy grip and carrying. It also comes with additional tea strainer where you can prepare your tea and strain the tea leaves after. They can be used in almost any situation there is, whether a common home stay or even a party.

I sure hope people will start patronizing these products because they’re worth the price and usage. It will always surpass my expectations as a mother who wants to give the best to my children. I do hope they continue expanding stores worldwide and add more stores here in the Philippines, so all Filipinos can try their products. With Asvel, I rest my case in being paranoid with our kitchenware and my children’s lunch boxes because I am assured and confident that they are well kept and it will be safe for their consumption.
For more information about their products and to check the variety of kitchenware they offer, you can check out their website at http://www.asvel.co.jp/en/index.html.

Being a mom is the best. From the moment we feel a heartbeat inside our womb, to the first time we see and hold our newborn, we have made a promise to remain strong and shower our children with eternal love and support throughout their life.

This May, Jollibee and creative agency McCann World Group Philippines honor all loving moms as they release a special Kwentong Jollibee Mother’s Day special that will remind everyone of the power of a mother’s unwavering affection and nurturing love.

Directed by Sheron Dayoc, ‘Schoolboy’ follows the story of a young boy as he overcomes his insecurities in his new school and achieves his dream with the help of his mother’s care and encouraging words that gave him the confidence he needed.

“There are many types of love in this world - one we share with friends, relatives, and significant others. But we know that it is the love that we receive from our mothers that make us feel more confident to embrace ourselves,” said Francis Flores, Jollibee Global Brand Chief Marketing Officer and PH Marketing Head.

For a child, there is no greater gift in life than having a mother who is there by their side and cheer them on as they grow up. “This Mother’s Day, we want to showcase the unique bond that a mother and child have and how this encourages the child to love themselves and live their life with a purpose no matter their personal condition,” adds Flores.

As the guiding light of every Filipino household, mothers play an inspiring figure in the life of each member of the family. Last year, Jollibee touched the hearts of netizens with its successful Mother’s Day trilogy - Amor”, “Tess”, and “Helen” - which reached over 27 million views in Facebook and YouTube and touched hearts of over 65.8 million netizens, Jollibee once again celebrates the red-letter day with a new heartwarming Kwentong Jollibee Mother’s Day special.

This year, Jollibee aims to once again shine the spotlight on moms as a fitting tribute to the person who never fails to provide encouragement and support every step of the way.

Watch the ‘Schoolboy’ Kwentong Jollibee Mother’s Day special on Jollibee’s official Facebook page  and YouTube Channel.

In time for this year’s Mother’s Day celebration, everyone is invited to bring their beloved mother and the whole family for a langhap-sarap feast at Jollibee. As many Filipinos would believe, only children who live in unsanitary conditions with poor hygiene are prone to worms. So despite deworming efforts made by the government, the relevance of this health practice in the country remains low.

Through online surveys and various on-site interviews, the perception on deworming among Filipino families revealed an insight that uncover a single truth– having worms is associated with having poor hygiene and most Filipino mothers do not consider their family as such.

But in reality, worms are everywhere. These worms are not seen through the naked eye. Beyond a clean home and a healthy lifestyle, there are worms that can be picked up along the way. From stepping barefoot on the ground, playing with pets, the simple act of not washing hands after a restroom break to coming into contact with objects contaminated by worm eggs in unsanitary locations, worms can be easily carried home.

Once at home, eventually flushes down efforts on safeguarding the health and wellness of the family. So, no matter how clean and healthy one may look, walang pinipili ang worms.

Worms can rob the health of any family. Among children, it stunts their growth, affects their mental performance, gives malnutrition, and makes them inactive. For adults, they could suffer from constant health complications.

With the imposing health risks that worms bring to all members of the household, Antiox champions deworming for families. Unlike other deworming treatments, Antiox is a brand that is not only for kids, but is intended for every member of the family.

In many modern Filipino homes, mothers are the key influencers to a family’s wellness. Their everyday choices drive what a family needs, making them the ambassadors of health.

Recognizing this fact, Antiox is one with every Filipino mother who would do anything to give the best protection to her family. By joining the family challenge to deworm, Filipino moms can ensure their families are totally healthy.

Together, let’s make every Filipino home a worm-free family. With Mebendazole (Antiox ®), a worm-free family means a worm-free community.
