Although selfies are somehow seen as an expression of vanity, studies show that snapping a photo or two could potentially boost your self-esteem. Of course, this type of confidence does not mean that validation should come from external influences. But sharing photos on social media and getting positive feedback from your trusted community can be a powerful instrument to reaffirm the self-worth that already exists within you.

Selfies — whether shared or kept private — have been linked to stronger, more tenacious moods. Experts say that taking photos of oneself can help make them feel comfortable in their own skin, which then leads to the improvement of their overall frame of mind.

So, grab your phone, ring light, and selfie stick and have fun exploring your best angles with these selfie tips from Bobbie Cosmetics!

Master the art of tilting

Look up to the camera or slightly turn your phone sideways. Then, think of something that cheers you up to put a genuine smile on your face. This can help capture a flash of happiness that will shine through your photo. You can also take this opportunity to show your contouring flair with the Bobbie Cosmetics Gleam Squad Contour & Strobe (P399) to add a better definition and highlight your best assets.

Practice your ‘smize’

By this time, you have probably heard about the term ‘smize’ — which basically means “to smile with your eyes”. Copping the perfect selfie means nailing it all, from the smile on your face to the powerful expression in your eyes. And with the advent of face masks, communicating with your eyes goes a long way, too! To help you capture your perfect smize, you can use light makeup by applying the Bobbie Cosmetics StylEYES (P75) and get dolled up to give a sophisticated glare. Feeling a little extra? You can also give more life to your stare by putting on the Bobbie Cosmetics Diva Lashes (P100)!

Give it a good lighting

Whether you are shooting outdoors or inside, make sure that there is enough light. This is one of the biggest factors that will determine how one looks in photos. You can do it facing a big window when indoors, or under the shade of a tree when outdoors. To capture a more glowing look, you can add a subtle sheen by using the buildable and easy-to-blend Bobbie Cosmetics Glow Obsession Liquid Illuminator (P299). They say the golden hour gives off the best lighting, too. These are the moments just before sunrise and right after sunset.

Pick a good background

A tree, a white wall, a bathroom mirror, you name it. It doesn’t need to be a full-scale set design, but it helps to have a background that matches your selfie mood.

Wear your favorite makeup

What’s a better way to have a more creative take with your selfie than exploring your best angles with your favorite beauty products? Choose a feature you’d like to highlight and make a statement! The Bobbie Cosmetics Pucker Up Duo Lipstick & Lip Tint Bundle (P165) is a combination of two versatile beauty staples that brightens up any look. Released in three shades — Cherry & Bomb, Love n’ Lilac, and Diva & Glam — this new duo from Bobbie Cosmetics can give the perfect wash of color that can make one glow naturally as they shoot their selfies. Being confident barefaced has its merits, too. Caring for the skin is important to help banish breakouts. This is why many beauty gurus swear by the method of double cleansing. Just before washing your face with a cleanser, removing makeup using the Bobbie Cosmetics Bare With Me All-In-1 Micellar Cleansing Water (P99) can up your beauty regimen. This gentle solution will help remove the build-up of oil, dirt, and cosmetic products residue which can clog pores and cause acne and breakouts.

By double cleansing on a day-to-day basis, people can improve their skin complexion and up their selfie game as they exude the confidence that flows from within.

Looking forward to capturing your best selfies? Share them online and tag @bobbiecosmetics on Instagram!

Shopee, the leading e-commerce platform in Southeast Asia and Taiwan, wraps up the year-end sales season and marks its fifth birthday by launching its annual 12.12 Big Christmas Sale. Its recent 9.9, 10.10, and 11.11 shopping events set new records and signified the changing landscape and potential of e-commerce in the region. This 12.12, Shopee celebrates five years of digital acceleration in the region and highlights three key trends that have shaped and will continue to drive the growth of e-commerce: Social, Personalization, and Integration.

Martin Yu, Director at Shopee Philippines, said, “Shopee was born with the vision of making online shopping accessible, easy, and enjoyable. We built Shopee from the ground up, listening to people’s specific needs in each of our markets and turning our understanding into well-executed localized strategies that make Shopee what it is today. This year’s 12.12 Big Christmas Sale has added significance as we celebrate our fifth birthday and come together with our brand partners, sellers, and shoppers to support one another through a challenging year. As we look back on our journey, we are proud to have adapted quickly to serve the needs of our local communities.”

This 12.12, Shopee highlights three key trends that will continue to power the growth of e-commerce in 2021 and beyond.

1.     Social: Bringing the human touch to online shopping

Advancements in technology, coupled with changing shopper habits, have resulted in online shopping evolving from a transactional experience. Today’s users are more social than ever, and they demand a more engaging online shopping experience with rich and unique content. In 2016, Shopee was one of the first e-commerce platforms in the region to launch a live chat function, Shopee Live Chat, enabling direct conversations between buyers and sellers. Today, an average of 30 million messages are exchanged daily on Shopee Live Chat.

Through the years, Shopee has continuously improved on and introduced new in-app engagement features such as Shopee Games, Shopee Feed, and Shopee Live to make the online shopping experience more social. Shopee anticipates that this trend will stay, with e-commerce increasingly becoming a platform through which people can connect and enjoy shared experiences. Shopee will continue to drive this trend through unique initiatives like Shopee Mom’s Club, which provides like-minded consumers with one-stop exclusive access to baby product deals and parenting content. There’s also a Book Club for a new generation of digital readers in Vietnam and a “Pawrents” club to meet the growing online demand for pet products in Singapore.

2.     Personalization: Catering to the ‘Me’ economy

Personalization is critical in e-commerce today. A highly personalized experience makes online shopping more efficient, enjoyable, and unique for consumers, while also helping brands and sellers drive traffic and growth. Shopee takes a hyper-localized approach by running seven different apps in each of its markets and localizing in-app features. Shopee also continually refines its recommendation engines to offer more customized and relevant shopping suggestions to fit consumers’ needs.

For brands and sellers, offering personalized recommendations to shoppers helps increase overall awareness and conversions. Businesses that use Shopee's in-app advertisements generate 65% more sales activity than those that do not. This is powered by Shopee's own AI capabilities, which ensure that advertisements are delivered to the right users.

As the industry progresses further into the ‘me’ economy, businesses need to innovate in order to improve the online customer journey. In the coming year, Shopee also expects to see the rise of smart shoppers, a new demographic of young, tech-savvy individuals who expect a highly personalized online shopping experience.

3.     Integration: Creating a seamless customer journey

As retailers adapt to the new normal, they must deliver a seamless customer journey across all touchpoints. Shopee helps brands and sellers of all sizes by providing fundamental operational support through integrated payments and logistics, while creating innovative experiences that value-add to the overall customer journey.

●      Delivering an experiential home shopping experience with P&G: Together with P&G, Shopee introduced its first-ever experiential online Show Me My Home initiative, which allowed shoppers to discover and shop for P&G’s popular household items in a simulated household environment. This brought greater convenience for stay-at-home consumers, while mimicking the offline experience of walking in a store.

Yu closed, “2020 has been a transformative year. It has shown us the importance of technology and its ability to not only connect people and meet their basic needs, but also to entertain and engage. We are just at the beginning of our digital journey and looking ahead, we believe e-commerce will have an even more profound impact on businesses and consumers, creating new ways of living, working, and engaging. As we wrap up the year with the 12.12 Big Christmas Sale, let's continue to look out for one another, uplift those in need, and welcome the new year on a high note.”

The past months, everyone was encouraged to stay at home. Some people who are into fitness struggled to attend gym classes because of the ongoing pandemic. But they made sure to still stay fit and healthy by conducting home workouts and zoom classes just to be able to remain fit and active even if they’re at home. Mommies invested on yoga mats that they can use for their daily meditation and some for activities that are done on the floor; while daddies invested on gym equipment just to continue their regimens. I myself personally decided to still continue working out while at home through watching various Youtube tutorial videos of yoga routines, dance classes, and cardio exercises.

Now all throughout this home-work out time, I have one must have that I really love to use on almost all my routines and even outside of workout. I have Tesalate sand-free beach towel. Yup, you read that right. It’s a sand-free beach towel that I carry with me when I do my workout. Why? Because it is specifically made for almost everything. Part from it being perfect for usage on summer days as a normal towel; it can also be used as picnic mat or as a mat for sun-bathing. It is fast drying, super absorbent, odor-free, light, compact, and most importantly, having the materials that are antibacterial. Zinc was added as a component in the towel which makes its antibacterial agent effective not only to ward off bacteria, but also to prevent the infestation of fungi including algae, mold, and milder that mostly causes bad odor.

I ordered the Pink Bora Bora design which is perfect for me because I love the color pink. Tesalate sand-free beach towel is a 160cm x 80cm full-sized beach towel which rapid-drying, double sided, and much absorbent. I love how it’s an all in one towel that I can carry throughout the day and use in different ways. I would surely use it one of these days when everything is back to normal and I can head on to the beach with my family.

Famous celebrities and personalities were also seen carrying Tesalate as their travel essentials, using them on their beach trips and almost everyday use. Tesalate has been rapidly dominating the vast majority of consumers all over the world because of its marvelous features that even famous personalities are hooked by Tesalate.

Be sure to check out Tesalate sand-free towels and experience the comfort and convenience that we feel everytime we use it for different leisure. From home workouts, to just regular usage, to beach trips, and even extreme mountain climbing, Tesalate sand-free towel is perfect for almost anything!

The beauty of life can easily be seen through the presence of a flower. It starts close and shut, then blooms eventually through time. Flowers come in all shapes, forms, colors, and sizes but the beauty of each are distinct to each other and they all vary in usage. Some are given as gifts, some for commemorative, some for ornament, while some are just really left unbothered staying outside our homes. What I love abour flowers is that when given to you, you would really feel special because it's not everyday you get them. It's sometimes reserved for special occasions.

However, fresh flowers often wither after 10 days of plucking them out of their main stems. Imagine buying fresh flowers only to decay after a couple of days. Good thing our society is evolving which paved way to producing dried flowers which are very appealing and just as good as those fresh ones.

Check out @lee_fleurs on instagram to take a glimpse of a wonderful way to present flowers in every occasion. Dried flowers undergo a specific process that would really cast the life of the whole pack by years- and when I say years, I meant YEARS. They're longer lasting compared to fresh flowers, and are still very aromatic. Remember the synthetic flowers you often see in home stores around the mall? They very much resemble the dried flowers- except that the dried flowers from Lee Fleurs are very classy, elegant, and would definitely light the whole room.

Not to mention these dried flowers are low maintenance and doesn't need watering at all. This is surely something that we should add on our homes as decoration or gift to our loved ones in replacement of the usual boquets that we buy.

While it is important to express our love to our family and friends on special events, may we almost think of sustainable ways and more practical ways to appreciate and enjoy every moments. With Lee Fleurs dried flowers, the love keeps on and on after years!

realme Philippines claims the number 1 spot in the country’s smartphone market, recording triple-digit growth in Q3 2020 -- a feat the brand achieved in just two years. International market research firms Canalys, IDC and Counterpoint Research all confirm the two-year-old brand’s local market lead in their Q3 reports.

Global market intelligence firm IDC reported realme Philippines achieved staggering 962.5 percent annual growth and captured 25.4 percent local market share this third quarter.

realme Philippines’ leading local market position is further corroborated by global technology market analyst firm Canalys, which in early November reported a 25 percent market share and 531 percent year-on-year growth for realme Philippines, the fastest quarterly growth a smartphone vendor has attained in the Philippine market this year.

Counterpoint Research also reported the same local market position for realme Philippines, which entered the country in November 2018.

realme Philippines has so far launched four smartphone lines: the premier X-series, the midranger number series, and the bang-for-buck narzo and C-series lines. The brand is also working vigorously on growing its AIoT and smart device portfolios, broadening the realme experience to deliver a well-rounded ecosystem.

“We are immensely grateful to our Filipino fans for helping us reach the top spot here in the Philippines. We celebrate this remarkable achievement with every Filipino realme user who shares our confidence in the performance and capability of our products -- this would not have been possible without you. We assure our fans that we’ll continue to be relentless in bringing top-notch devices to the country as we aim to embolden them in achieving their every goal. Maraming salamat po!” shares realme Philippines VP for Marketing Austine Huang.

realme Philippines attributes its strong market presence to its strong and wide -- and growing -- network across the nation, both offline and online. The brand currently has 465 kiosks, 119 concept stores and 5200+ partner stores in key areas across the country. It also has a strong partnership with e-commerce giants Lazada and Shopee, where it consistently tops the platforms’ list of best-selling brands.

realme has forged relationships with key industry players such as Moonton, the game developer of the smash-hit Mobile Legends. The biggest smartphone-branded online community is also spearheaded by realme Philippines, an avenue the brand uses for direct communication with its customers on various announcements, promos and exclusive events.

Globally, realme continues to be the smartphone industry’s fastest-growing smartphone brand with 132 percent growth quarter-on-quarter in shipment volume. This is the strongest growth momentum among all major global smartphone original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), according to Counterpoint Research, with the brand braving a global year-on-year market decline of 4 percent.

Fans of realme in the Philippines can enjoy more products from the leading smartphone brand before the year ends as it launches more new smart lifestyle devices and a powerful flagship contender.
