April 30, 2017

Having bad hair days? I know the heat of the summer is really getting more intense every day.
My crowning glory has never been this dry and unmanageable. The weather and the chemicals on my hair don’t get along very well.

I’m so thankful Yves Rocher, a French brand that specializes in natural plant-based beauty products, sent me these wonderful hair care set to try. The brand has been perfecting beauty products over 50 years so I trust that this was going to be wonderful!

Yves Rocher Botanical Hair Care Repair Oil (P695 per 150ml bottle)

Each bottle contains 150ml of formulated Babassu Oil and Macadamia Oil. It helps repair very dry or damaged hair. I started applying this on my hair per Yves Rocher’s instruction. I left it on for 10-15 minutes. I didn’t mind leaving it on my hair while I was doing house chores as it smelled really good! Its fragrance was fruity and aromatic. It also does not contain silicon, a chemical that makes the hair dry. Although, it was oil-based, it still felt light and it was not greasy at all. The quantity and quality would compensate on the price, it that’s what you are concerned about. A little amount per use goes a long way for me.

Yves Rocher Low Shampoo (P295 per 200ml bottle)
After I rinsed off the oil, I followed it up with the Yves Rocher Low Shampoo, a delicate cleansing cream that’s different from the shampoos in the market. It doesn’t foam or form suds, and it’s very mild! It’s good for all hair types and I love that it is not harmful at all. It’s like the old-school “gugo”. Just be mindful of the amount that you use, especially for those who are used to their shampoo lathering a lot. You could think of applying conditioner even though the first step seemed more like it.

Yves Rocher Rinsing Vinegar (P395)
Once done shampooing, I then applied the Rinsing Vinegar. You’re right, it’s like vinegar that we use as condiments, except that this one smells like raspberry. The aroma was actually nice and pleasant! This product was formulated from the combination of raspberry and French origin vinegar. I would say this final touch was indeed worth it. My hair became soft, smooth, and radiant. Even without conditioner, it was tangle-free and it made it easy for me to dry it under the blower. The smell was also amazing!

Overall, I love Yves Rocher because the brand uses natural ingredients, no harmful chemicals such as sulfates, parabens, silicones, and colorants. All of the products smell really nice and they are a joy to use in every step. The price is reasonable based on the result.
My hair is stronger and smoother now, and free from dryness. Indeed, you will never go wrong with the natural.

Check out Yves Rocher Hair Care products at Yves Rocher boutiques in SM Aura, Trinoma, SM Southmall, and Ayala Center Cebu. They have a wide range of other beauty products that you will definitely love.

Eyebrows on fleek, lipstick applied flawlessly and foundation blended seamlessly are only some of the things we want to learn how to do. All of us, those who wear makeup at least, seek to improve our techniques. We want to be updated on the latest trends, which include drunken blush, gradient lip, fake freckles and strobing, among others.

We loved 2016 but we’re ready to launch a new routine. To do that, we need to recharge our makeup kits and learn from the masters. We also have to score the latest and hottest products and where else to get that but at The SM Store Beauty Section.

Makeup artists know where to go when they need something for their clients and that’s The SM Store Beauty Section, the Philippines’ biggest beauty retailer. From the dazzling interiors to the sheer amount of global brands at your fingertips, SM Beauty lives up to its status as a haven for women longing for a unique beauty experience.

For 2017, makeup artists took part in a fabulous Glam Session at the SM Beauty Section of SM Makati. Guests got a peek of what’s hot right now and what to look forward to in the coming seasons in terms of makeup.

Achieving eyebrows on fleek or the best makeup style is more than just having the skills. Good products and most especially the right equipment makes all the difference that we need.

Invest a little more on your brushes, you'll get more out of them and they'll last longer. I highly recommend Real Techniques Makeup brushes.

Through Real Techniques, women everywhere are transforming their makeup routines with the approachable expertise and professional-grade tools from Sam and Nic..
I recently ordered my Real Techniques Makeup Brushes at Sephora.ph.

I love buying my beauty products from Sephora. You are always guaranteed authentic products and super fast shipping.

Plus, if you spend a minimum of P1,300 on Sephora products, delivery will be free of charge even though all items are shipped from Singapore.

I was so happy with my Sephora.ph experience that I placed another order yesterday. Nonetheless, let me show you my first haul.

REAL TECHNIQUES COLLECTOR'S EDITION EYELINING SET

This set contains:
  • Precision liner brush: for ultimate control of the perfect line
  • Smudge brush: designed for enhancing the eye with a smoky effect
  • Eyeliner brush: firm, angled head for optimal control along lash line
  • Pointed liner brush: flat, tapered head designed to create both thin and thick lines
  • Brush pouch: stores and protects brushes

REAL TECHNIQUES 100 arched powder

This is a very beautiful brush! It definitely stands out in my collection of brushes. I have used many different brands of brushes and this one is the best.

It's very soft and no shedding of bristles.

REAL TECHNIQUES STIPPLING BRUSH

Dual-fiber stippling brush is the trade secret for applying your makeup with airbrushed result.
Stippling brush can be used anywhere on the face, and with any type of product, they are generally the most helpful with cream or liquid face products. To "stipple" means to "dot," so instead of swirling or buffing products into the face, these brushes will help dot it on to produce a more even, flawless appearance.
It can also be used to sweep powders, and even without any product to blend or sheer out what's already on your face.

REAL TECHNIQUES concealer brush

I love how Real Techniques Concealer Brush tackles worst problems in one step: blemishes, scars, brown spots, broken capillaries, and under-eye circles.
The angle cut is also perfect for highlighting key areas of the face.

REAL TECHNIQUES Foundation brush

I am IN LOVE with this brush. It gives smooth, poreless finish and really good coverage and does not leave streaky finish when you're applying foundation. This is definitely the best foundation brush I've had so far.
I also use it to apply face creams and serums.
The densely-packed bristles are synthetic, which means they'll be more durable.
Get a flawless look with the right tools.
