Art and fashion put into one is elegance. And when elegance meets Kipling, you’ll get style and versatility.
I was totally stoked when I got invited to their SM Mall of Asia store re-opening and Alex in Bloom collection launch. My mom and I love Kipling for the longest time. I remember she has quite a beautiful variety. I personally adore this set of highly-anticipated exclusive bags because of the visual artworks that became Kipling’s backdrops. The Fall 2016 selection is all about great emotions and glamour.
What, or should I say “Who”, made this fall collection so special is Alexandra Lasseur. She’s a Canadian painter and illustrator, known for her mishmash designs reminding memories of the season. She’s well-known in the Facebook community BerlinArt Parasites, and her creations have been highlighted in different international scenes, including the exhibit of her illustrations during Fashion Week in Milan where her pieces were featured by the famous Italian designers Prada, Gucci and Versace.
For Alessandra, her designs are inspired by flora and fauna, the natural habitat of the Kipling monkey. Deep blues with hints of perky red hues are perfect to welcome the cold weather.
Alex in Bloom consists of functional and chic shoulder bags, sling bag and backpack. I love how simultaneously sophisticated and fun they are! Aside from the inspiring colors in the artworks, Kipling made sure that the textures will be fresh and unique as well. 
There are mini backpacks for little girls, which are super cute in plums and floral patterns.
I must tell you though it’s a lot better to see them with your own eyes. Fall will indeed come alive in this new world-class and premium set.
Come and visit the new location of Kipling at the 2nd floor, Main Mall, SM Mall Of Asia, and be mesmerized with the store’s bigger and revamped interior.
