Cream Silk Transformations: Spotlight on the #ModernFilipina

I attended an event last January 23rd at the World Trade Center Tent. It's the Cream Silk Transformations: Spotlight on the Modern Filipina event. It was very empowering, they equipped us with the tools we needed to transform into a Modern Filipina.

"Gone are the days of the Maria Clara, as women are slowly climbing up the racks and embracing bigger and better roles for themselves. Today, the Modern Filipina has become both spotlight and a beacon," shared Gina Lorenzana, Unilever's Vice President for Personal Care. "She has evolved into a fearless and trailblazing individual determined to realize her dreams and make a positive mark in the world."

Cream Silk collaborated with the country's top magazines- Cosmopolitan, Meg, MEGA, Metro, Preview and Yes!

Each top glossy hosted workshops and talks, inviting some of the Philippine top industry experts in the fields of fashion, entertainment, and beauty. Each activity featured different kinds of transformation, from beauty and fashion makeovers to unleashing one's inner potential.

Cosmopolitan: Modern Filipinas Conquering New Frontiers
Meg: Ready-Set-Work. Unlocking the Girl Boss in you
MEGA: Tea with Peewee Isidro and Mega's most stylish and beautiful Filipinas
Metro: How to look your best in any photo with Sara Black
Preview: The Evolution of the Philippine Fashion and the Modern Filipina by Pauline Juan and Isha Andaya
Yes!: Starmakers of the Modern Filipina featuring Jonas Gaffud

At the Cream Silk lounge, guests completed the experience through hair transformation.

To demonstrate that only Cream Silk can transform any hair problem to beyond beautiful hair, experts assessed hair needs, as well as recommended the best styles to highlight assets.
Guests had their hair done in their style of choice to experience their very own Cream Silk Transformation.

For the grand finale of the program, we were treated to the first ever live cover shoot experience to unveil the new roster of Cream Silk Modern Filipinas. Cream Silk and the top magazines styled and photographed the newest endorsers on stage to appear on the covers of the publications' March issues. Watch out for these!

Heart Evangelista for MEGA

Nadine Lustre for METRO
Coleen Garcia for PREVIEW
Julie Anne San Jose for MEG

Rachelle Ann Go for YES!
Yassi Pressman for COSMOPOLITAN

To add, to the already impressive line up, Cream Silk  welcomed home Pia Wurtzbach, on her first Philippine appearance as Ms. Universe. Pia epitomizes the most inspiring transformation of the Modern Filipina yet, set to conquer the Universe! With a beauty that inspires, determined to realize her dreams, she has come back to make her positive mark in the world, taking her well deserved walk at Cream Silk's event.
"This is the 'Happily ever after' I have been dreaming of for lifetime," I'm so proud, so happy. I hope my story can become an inspiration of discipline, faith and hard work."
Let's join Cream Silk and these Modern Filipinas in inspiring and empowering others to experience their own transformations!

Share your own experience on social media by completing the sentence and posting "One of my #CreamSilkTransformations in 2016 is to _____."

Looking forward to seeing your post.

What I wore: Parol Inspired Design Dress
As for me, One of my #CreamSilkTransformations in 2016 is to be the person who turns "failures" into learning experiences, who considers taking a step forward followed by a step backwards a cha-cha. I can work on my goals and take a step forward at a time, and choose to be the woman I want to be each day. To take daily action on the dreams that matters most to me. To celebrate all the blessings in my life, rather than focusing on what I believe is lacking and to develop an "Atttitude of Gratitude'. Say Thank You to Everyone I meet for everything they do.

Thank you Cream Silk for striving us to become the best versions of ourselves, in our journeys of transformation.

Thank you for reading!
