Beauty & Wellness Tips with Jeunesse on how to be #PositivelyBetter

My journey to be healthy and to live a healthier lifestyle began early this year when I found out I have PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome).

What is polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)?

Polycystic ovary syndrome (say "pah-lee-SIS-tik OH-vuh-ree SIN-drohm") is a problem in which a woman's hormones are out of balance. It can cause problems with your periods and make it difficult to get pregnant. PCOS also may cause unwanted changes in the way you look. If it isn't treated, over time it can lead to serious health problems, such as diabetes and heart disease. -webmd.com

I learned the importance of health. I started becoming more conscious to what I eat and  became more active in going to the gym, attending dance and yoga classes, even doing boxing and running. Taking care of yourself physically can improve your mental health. Yet, I know for a fact that this is uneasy to handle especially during our monthly period. Ladies, you know what I mean. And I believe majority will agree with me because this is something that makes our days more challenging.

Our period do not give any exception or excuses at any given time. The only choice we have is to look for something reliable in making us feel comfortable and confident in what we are doing.

My new active lifestyle changes my perception in choosing my partner during my period. And I’m glad to learn about the new Jeunesse Anion products.

It is a perfect timing for me to be part of the Jeunesse Anion Millenial Fair in Marriott Hotel to launch their new products.

The event speaker was lead by the 3 outstanding active women in their own careers, Dra. Fatima Ophelia Suluen (OBGYNE), Ms. Maria Camille  Romero (Health Coach) and Nicole Romero (Beauty Blogger at @beautyandsparkl).

Dra. Fatima Ophelia Suluen gave us an overview about women’s reproductive system and the importance of healthy lifestyle.

Reproductive Health Tips:
1. Stay Hydrated
2. Eat Healthy
3. Exercise and maintain a normal body mass index
4. Get enough sleep
5. Proper Hygiene
6. Track your menstrual cycle
7. Taking care of your intimate area
8. Self breast examination
9. Regular gynecological check up

While, Maria Camille Romero shared healthy recipes and its effect to our body systems. She even prepared a sample for the audiences to try their own version of fruit smoothie, five-minute salad dressing and red pesto sauce recipe.

Eating healthily during the menstrual period or luteal phase will help you to manage bloating, cramps, fatigue, and a generally sour mood. So when your appetite feels like its going through the roof and your metabolism rates are rocketing, you need not look any further than your kitchen to help you ward off the side effects of pre-menstrual stress or syndrome (PMS). Check out these wholesome, no-cook recipes that are ready for serving in minutes!

Beauty blogger Nicole Romero gave us tips on how to deal with stress.
One of the major factors that make us look older than we are is STRESS!
Effects of stress – we’re irritable, we get tension headaches, we get puffy eyes and dark circles, our skin and hair look bad.
According to beauty blogger Nicole Romero, we can do several things to remedy the effects of stress:
  • we should protect our skin by applying appropriate products like creams, masks, etc… that will help our skin combat the effects of stress
  • we should do some meditation, aromatherapy, get a massage, any activity that helps us relax
  • we should try to get the proper amount of sleep (8 hours)
  • we should eat healthy (less sugar!) and drink more water
  • we should supplement the nutrition our body needs with vitamins

After that, the announcement of the all-new singles pad. The slim, smooth, and handy sanitary napkin that is perfect for light to medium flow period.

Affordably priced at 8.50 per piece and comes in 24 pieces per box. It’s chic and easy to slip in the clutch, pouch, tote, and travelling bags!

And also, they introduced the very active brand ambassadors of Jeunesse Anion – Christine and Clarice Patrimonio.

Christine and Clarice are one of the passionate tennis players arising in our country and also outstanding students. They embrace an active lifestyle at their young age. A-games and school are important and monthly period shouldn’t go along their way.

Clarice missed the event but Christine had a chance to share her thoughts how she’s satisfied and comfortable in using this product and how it keeps her going in facing exciting activities. Ultra-day pad is making sure that she’s protected from stains, irritation and odor during her period.

Jeunesse Anion once again shared to the public the valuable features of their products - top cover made of special non-woven material for maximum comfort and softness, super-absorbent polymer for superior liquid protection, a specially-designed back adhesive to keep the pad securely in place, a side-leak guard that helps prevent strike through leaks, plus sterilized and bacteria-free cotton material. And the unique anion strip that helps to ease cramps and odor.

Jeunesse Anion sanitary pads and liners are available in Mercury Drug stores, Watsons, SM Health and Beauty Section and at www.lazada.com.ph.
