Recently, I received an invitation for an event at Max's Restaurant and it said "Because we are proud to be a global Filipino brand, brace yourself for the biggest meet up yet. Be at Max's Glorietta 3 and be ready to go someplace else for a special surprise." 
Could the surprise be for a meet and greet event with Coco Martin? 
Upon arrival, we were treated with our choice of delicious Max's combo meal, I ordered Fiesta Plate Meal that includes Max's Quarter Fried Chicken with Fresh Lumpiang Ubod, Plain Rice, A Caramel bar and Iced tea.   

After our satisfying dinner, we were told that we are heading to Meralco Theater for the unveiling of the special surprise. Max’s Restaurant rented a bus and they were playing a recorded Gilas Pilipinas basketball game. It kept us entertained while we were stuck in traffic.
Once at our destination, Bobby Simborio, Max’s Corporate Media and PR Manager welcomed us. Could this be the time when he will announce that we will be meeting Coco Martin? He apologized for breaking our hearts but he announced that we would be meeting the Team Gilas Pilipinas instead. We got excited! Max's Restaurant then told us that they would be the official restaurant of Gilas Pilipinas for the FIBA World Cup in Spain!
Before entering the Meralco Orange Fit Center, we were all given a bag. 
Inside was a Gilas Pilipinas shirt with all their signatures in the back. 
We had a wonderful photo opportunity and to meet all the Team Gilas Pilipinas. Here is a photo of the managers of the Max's Restaurant with Team Gilas Pilipinas.

It was fun to watch them practice. 

Even though we didn’t get to meet Coco Martin I enjoyed Max’s Restaurant’s surprise announcement. Not only did they feed us their hearty meals but also treated us in an exclusive opportunity to meet Team Gilas Pilipinas prior to them competing in Spain for the 2014 FIBA.
