Jollibee makes it memorable to celebrate Grandparent's Day

Happy Grandparent's Day to all the Grandmas, Grandpas, Grannies, Grampy's, Lolas, Lolos, Nanay, Tatay and whatever else you may call your dear Grandparents.
I'm a Lola's girl, I grew up with her taking good care of me and I call her my Nanay. I love her so much, It was very hard for me to make this post because every time I talked about her I can't stop crying and missing her so much. This is such a special picture to me because this was our last picture together. It's hard to accept that she's no longer with us in this life. I let myself believe that she will live forever and there are so many times that I even took advantage of her, if only life has this rewind button and try to change everything that I make her feel mad and disappointed at me. I wish I'd visited and called more often. I don't think the pain of losing her will ever go away.

Nanay, I know you're smiling down on us, guiding us, guarding us, and watching our kids grow. I have been so blessed to have you for a grandma. Thank you for all the memories. I miss everything about you, this is not goodbye but I will see you later! Love you always and forever Nanay, Happy Grandparent's Day!
When Jollibee invited me to celebrate Grandparent's Day, I was very honored to be a part of it as they make it memorable to the elderly of the Philippine Veterans Affairs Office in Camp Aguinaldo.

Jollibee has captured the hearts and taste buds of everyone- young and old over the years.
This touching moment when Jollibee greeted them one by one with a hug and kiss.
Traditional "Mano po" to show respect to our elders.
Lola perfectly enjoyed Jollibee's sweet gesture of feeding her.

Grandparents enjoyed great-tasting goodness of their favorite Jollibee Chickenjoy, Yum, and Jolly Spaghetti.

They enjoyed dancing with Jollibee.

The Bloomfields band also played the songs of the Bee Gees for them.

Watch this video that Jollibee put together which will surely touch your heart ♥ and will bring tears to your eyes.
Thank you so much Jollibee for making this day memorable for us as well, we witnessed the big smile on their faces and that honoring them on this day gave so much joy to our dearest veterans, Lolos and Lolas.

Tell me what you think? I would love to hear your comments and suggestions.

THANKS, Much Love, Rochelle

  1. I watched the video and I almost cried. Huhu. Pinigilan ko because my siblings would tease me if they saw me crying. Haha. Anyway, I also missed my lola on my mother's side. I actually can't remember her face personally since she died when I'm still young. But I still remember her watching over us when climbing up the stairs. My mom would say that if she had been alive today, my lola would always want me to accompany her to the church or to the market. My lola on my father's side on the other side still lives until now at the age of 80+. She's too strong still and young looking that she looks like a 60+ person! She lives a healthy life and have a strong personality. That's what I want to copy from her. I hope she'll live longer for us to be with her longer as well. :)
