The PLDT HOME Bro Ultera Launch #SpeedYouCantBeat

We've been PLDT HOME subscriber since the 80's. I grew up using PLDT’s landline and now Fast Internet is important to our family. We’ve been using it a lot especially for me as a blogger, keeping in touch with friends and family via social media. My kids use internet on their research for school, activities and play interactive games and to occasionally visit my brother's website (autobatsu.com).

Last April 29, 2014 I was invited to SMX Convention Center to experience the launch of the revolutionary new ultra-fast addition to the family of PLDT HOME Bro and its latest endorsers.

Introducing PLDT HOME Bro Ultera

The revolutionary LTE for the home- the TD-LTE-powered (Time Division Duplex-Long Term Evolution) high-speed wireless Internet connection for the home offering speeds of up to 10 Mbps.

What is LTE and why would I want one for my home?
Internet connections are transmitted in different ways. You can get it through cables, phone lines, or through wireless signals. LTE is the most advanced type of wireless internet technology that is way faster than any other method of its kind. And it's likely to reign supreme for the foreseeable future.
To show us that PLDT HOME Bro Ultera speed can't be beat, and the advantage of being the fastest, we were each given a clicker to use on the Fast test challenge #1. The fastest clicker of the correct answer will take home an iPad Mini. There were three lucky winners none of whom was I. I was definitely slow on this challenge.
Then for the Fast Test Challenge #2
which is a challenge of who is the fastest?
Mr. Jigger, one of the Philippine's fastest burger eater, the challenge was to beat the download speed of the PLDT HOME Bro Ultera. The task was for him to finish a burger with 4 patties before Ultera finished downloading 10 full songs. It was a close race but the downloading speed of the Ultera won!
Fast Test Challenge #3 To shoot 30 balls in a basket or uploading 30 photos on Facebook? The challenger was Jeric Teng one of the brand's ambassadors and who currently plays for the Philippine Basketball Association or PBA, was a shooting guard for the University of Sto. Tomas (UST), Growling Tigers. Uploading 20 photos on Facebook using PLDT HOME Bro Ultera was faster.

Fast Test Challenge #4 Running 40 meters or Stream a 2-minute video on YouTube? The challenger was another brand's ambassador Jeron Teng, a forward for the De La Salle Green Archers. The Ultera was able to download a video 2 seconds faster than Jeron who ran 40 meters.

PLDT executive vice president and head of PLDT HOME Business, Ariel Fermin also did the fast test challenge.

Of course, PLDT HOME Bro Ultera is an ultra fast LTE that you can't beat.
PLDT executive vice president and head of PLDT HOME Business, Ariel Fermin said "The launch of PLDT HOME Bro Ultera is part of our commitment to continuously develop broadcast connectivity in the country. Aside from the ongoing roll-out and enhancement of PLDT HOME Fibr and PLDT HOME DSL. The addition of PLDT HOME BRO Ultera to the PLDT HOME roster of services means that we intend to serve more areas, especially those unreachable by wired technology."
PLDT assistant vice president and head of HOME Fixed Wireless Solutions, Ava Espanola said "PLDT HOME Bro Ultera is the perfect fit for digitally active families, It allows for continuous family fun and bonding whether its through social media, online streaming or downloading. With PLDT HOME Bro Ultera, its easier for families to have meaningful interactions through one powerful connection- better access to social media, movies, games and music."

Inspiring message from Ms. Ava Espanola, "In life, there are only three things that we need to increase speed with- our wit, our ability to forgive and our internet speed. Everything else we have to take it slow."
Introducing PLDT HOME Bro newest ambassadors- The Teng siblings, brothers Jeric and Jeron and sister Almira with PLDT Home's big bosses, Ariel P. Fermin PLDT executive vice president and head of PLDT HOME Business, Ava S. Espanola PLDT assistant vice president and head of HOME Fixed Wireless Solutions and Chairman Manny V. Pangilinan
With PLDT HOME Bro Ultera ultra fast connection speed, it comes with special add-on services that all members of the family will enjoy. The whole family can bond over hundreds of blockbuster flicks from Clickplay, and thousands of episodes of Asianovelas and Tagalized animes from MyPinoyTV. While kids and kids-at-heart can enjoy the latest games from EA Games. Finally, moms and dads can get the latest news and information from News5 Everywhere.
Music lovers in the family can access thousands of music hits from Spinnr (powered by SMART Music).
I was able to download 10 of my favorite songs in 35 seconds. How awesome is that?
PLDT HOME Bro Ultera is also fast enough to support the use of PLDT HOME TVolution, a powerful Android device that turns ordinary TV into an Internet TV.
Share 20 Facebook photos in 10 seconds with Home Bro Ultera Pro at 10 Mbps. We were also able to connect with PLDT HOME Bro Ultera WiFi to experience how fast it was and to share our photos using hashtag #SpeedYouCantBeat and they will automatically print the photos for us, I was really impressed on how fast it was!
I spotted a lot of celebrities herein a picture op with Jasmine Curtis-Smith and Lauren Young. I also saw Bea Binene, Raymond Gutierrez and Tim Yap.
 Speed meets Style
Ms. Ava Espanola with the models of HOME Bro's official clothing partner Folder and Hung. I love the quality of the shirt and the message "Can't Say No to a PLDT Home Bro."

  4. We just transferred residence and unfortunately the building where we are now does not have any PLDT Lines, so i am exploring the possibility of having an ultera connection. Unfortunately again, no installation is allowed outside of our unit, which means I have to install the receiver inside our unit. Do you think that would be possible? Thanks!
