Chez Karine Bakery at Mega Fashion Hall ♥

I am a big dessert person!

I am so glad that I found Metro's Newest Dessert Destination!

Chez Karine is french for "At Karen's Place", is a Serendra Neighborhood Bakery by Pastry Chef Karen Yang.

Following the success of the french patisserie inspired by Asian and American flavors in their first store in Serendra Mall in Taguig. Chez Karine recently opened its second store at its newest wing in the ground floor of SM Mega Fashion Hall building D.

Last January 31, 2014 my blogger friend Cha Sy of Travels on a Shoestring invited to me to try Chez Karine Bakery.

It was my first time here, Definitely it's not going to be my last!
Chez Karine Bakery offers artisanal, seasonal pastries made fresh from scratch daily. They also offer high quality specialty coffee and tea.

I want to try them all!

Here's what I've had so far:
Salted Caramel (P55 each) The Salted Caramel tasted exactly like I wanted it to. It was moist, rich, buttery, just the right amount of sweetness and salty. What more could you ask for in a macarons?

Classic Chocolate Cake (P160) dark chocolate cake topped with cocoa nibs and dusted with powdered sugar
My favorite! I love that it is not too sweet and it was just so delicious! It's totally worth the calorie splurge.
Strawberry Shortcake (P160) three layer chiffon cake filled with strawberries and chantilly cream
The cake is airy and light with very fresh strawberries. Not too sweet and perfect for those who want a light dessert.

Cotton Soft Cheesecake (P130) Japanese style souffle cheesecake
This is also delicious, it creates an incredibly light, fluffy almost soufflé  like texture, so you don't get that heavy feeling from eating this that you do normally.

Neopolitan (P185) layers of fresh strawberries, raspberry mousse, vanilla bavarois, chocolate bavarois, chocolate sponge, surrounded by almond joconde
Royal Pudding (P110 each) soft set custard pudding with dark caramel at the bottom
When you order them the fancy bottles are yours to keep, I took mine home and reused them as a container for diy candles and container for knick knacks.

Muscovada Royal Pudding
Konnyaku Fruit Jelly
Coco Sugar Pudding (diabetes friendly)
Vanila Royal Pudding
Caramel Fleur De Sel (P130)
Strawberry Lemonade (P120)
Fresh Lemonade (P110)
The boxes are so cute! They would make wonderful looking gifts.
These artsy and pretty boxes are for the Macarons, the house specialty.
These dainty macarons taste as lovely as they look! Sure to please anyone.

We absoultely love this place! Words cannot describe how delicious the desserts are! If you have not been here you are missing out so I highly recommend stopping into Chez Karine if you happen to be in SM Megamall. Definitely the perfect after meal bite!

  2. For this, I'm very excited to go to SM Megamall! Aside from a lot of new stores opened, it now houses one of my favorite pastry shops: Chez Karine. :) I bet there will always be a line out the door, but it is well worth the wait.

  3. Naku ! Lalo tuloy akong naexcite pumunta sa Mega Fashion Hall ! Super dami na talagang nagbukas na wala pa sa iabng SM .. Macarons is ♥
I want to try the Caramel Fleur De Sel ! Nung natapos ko ang culinary ko, I was wondering how to describe and to introduce yung mga putahi na nailuluto namin but you, as easy as that napakadetailed ng mga sentence na ibinibigay niyo. Kaya nga po sa PICTURE AT DESCRIPTION palang natatakam na ko. So back to that describing the food, ngayon po alam ko na kung paano ko idedescribe yung mga foods na ihahain ko para sa mga interested about the food and of course for the customers. This blog of yours about foods, restaurants, hotels really helps me and gives me a lot of lesson. Thank you po ! Paghahandaan ko na ang Western Cuisine ko at Pastry sana po talaga ay maiapply ko lahat ng knowledge na ibinabahagi niyo. Thanks once again ! ♥

Does the store have provincial branches too? Hope they have it here in Cebu City. I am a dessert person too, same as you do.
