By now, you already know me when it comes to lippies. I have self-confessed one to many times that I am a lipstick junkie. I love trying different shades as it adds to the complete guise I go for daily. Because the weather is now slowly changing, I have been vexing on my lips getting dry and crackly. Then, Fashion 21 gave me the answer with their new lippie line All Day Matte Lipsticks. 

Fashion 21 has been taking good care of our beauty needs for a while now, and the budget-friendly All Day Matte Lipsticks is just one of the impressive kikay must-have you should check out. 

Here’s a brief review to help you decide which of the 15 shades available you will get.
Yes, that’s right! There are 15 shades to choose from. So, I can guarantee you will find a personal favorite or more. The colors can easily match whatever look you want to achieve anytime, anywhere. The brown, red, pink, and orange hues can help you get that perfect chic or vampy image.  

What  Fashion 21 is promising about their All day Matte Lipsticks: 
One swipe of this matte lipstick gives full, intensely colored, and lasting coverage to your lips. And it doesn't just look good-the formula is light on the lips and does not dry them out. 

The bullet-shaped tube with metal finish is easy and pleasant to look at in your kikay kit. It is physically light weighing only 4 grams, priced Php 175 only, it is light on the pocket at the same time. True enough, it is a joy to glide on my lips, and unlike other matte lipsticks, it doesn’t dry my lips at all. When your lips are already parched, you may want to apply lip balm first just to make the application smoother.  Not only that, although the shades may all look the same, they really are not when applied. The pigmentation is indeed intense and gives full coverage that can last for 3-4 hours.

The summer season is not yet quite over as Ipanema – the fun, chic, and colorful Brazilian made sandals and flip flops – presented its newest collection in a  romance-themed  event dubbed the Ipanema Perfect Pair  at the Trinoma Activity Center!

Through an exciting fashion show, the 3 chosen finalists – those who posted the best ‘selfeets’ in the online Facebook promo – took the runway to show off the distinct Ipanema summer styles: Sweet & Dainty, Sexy Chic, and Bold & Artsy! 


Adding more thrill and suspense, the participating girls picked a random Ipanema pair and modeled down the catwalk with their masks to hide their identities.

Each distinct Ipanema summer style was designed and is reflective of the different personas and tastes of Ipanema’s fun, fashionable wearers. “Ipanema knows that every wearer is unique,” shares ELRO Retail Corp. Head of Marketing Cecille Loretizo. “That is why for their newest collection, they’ve introduced three cool  and individual styles – all  designed to match different, free spirited personalities and identities.”  



In addition, there were also a variety of booths, tailored for each Ipanema flipflop style, for the enjoyment of attendees: Nail Art & Foot Spa; DIY Flower Crown & Foot sticker tattoo and Make-up and Hair Styling.
Cool Ukelele artists led by Theobromine Band and Mang Pedring as well as Aia de Leon of Imago added to the summer romance feel.


And to top it all, the lucky winner of Ipanema Perfect Pair got the chance to spend an unforgettable kilig date with Gerald Anderson, one of the hottest young actors today, plus an exciting all-expense paid trip to the Shangri-La Mactan, Cebu!

I choose to be great in every decision I make. I believe that our choices define who we truly are. I never settle for less and I work hard to outdo myself all the time. You may have read or heard something similar, only stated a bit differently. This motto I have for myself is no stranger to everyone, even to JL *wink*.


Wait. Who?

None other than the John Lloyd Cruz. I thought I was just dreaming when I attended this special event, and I saw JL. No, it wasn’t a dream at all, but a sweet reality. I was so thrilled! I have a secret to reveal about myself and JL. It wasn’t the first time I have seen him, but he never fails to amaze me. Remember his unmatched TV series with Angel Locsin, “Imortal”? I was one of the TV talents selected to play the role of one of the wolves or lobo for the show. I met JL during one of our tapings, and I liked him for being humble, natural and simply great. I admired him more, so I have obviously watched all his movies and TV shows.

The coffee shop-themed affair featured various activities where guests like me were able to celebrate and appreciate every achievement from small steps to significant milestones. We were also treated to an exclusive preview of Great Taste Coffee’s latest collaboration with JL. All of us felt boundless and inspired to spread the immensity of what we can do if we #GTChooseToBeGreat.

Nearly one-third of Filipino children are deprived of health care, safe water, clean toilet facilities, decent shelter, nutritious food and education. And almost 4-million Filipino children are classified as out-of-school youth. Numerous reasons contributed to this prevalent problem like insufficient family income, child labor, teen marriage, illness, disability, inaccessibility to schools and high cost of education. Consequently, these factors inhibit the proper learning, development and value information of a child.

Thankfully, Robinsons Supermarket, Unilever Philippines and World Vision united together and launched the “Bags of Hope” campaign – which aims to help World Vision Kids with their education and their future.

One may be a committed donor through buying the Bags of Hope pack. 

You can choose from purchasing 470ml Lady’s Choice Mayonnaise, Ham or Bacon spreads. Purchase will automatically entitle one to receive a “collectible school bag” which comes in four designs while concurrently giving out school supplies as donations for World Vision Kids to support their education.
