3 Years of Birthday Tradition Celebration at Hospicio De San Jose ♥

"We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give."

"Set your heart on doing good. Do it over and over again, and you will be filled with joy."

It was another wonderful time of the year and opportunity to attend Kuya Marc's Birthday (My brother in-law).

It has been a tradition for three years now to celebrate his birthday at Hospicio De San Jose.

Instead of giving gifts to the celebrant, we would just give it for the kids of Hospicio De San Jose.
We gave gifts such as notebooks, crayons, pencils, school supplies set and towels, safeguard soaps, toothpaste and toothbrush for the 100 kids. Someone also gave toys, diapers and candies.

Jollibee brings joy to the children ♥

The children enjoyed the langhap sarap food ng Jollibee ♥
It is important to teach our children the gift of giving

The family that gives together, stays together ♥

Happy Birthday Kuya Marc and may you be blessed with more wonderful blessings ♥

Tell me what you think? I would love to hear your comments and suggestions.

THANKS, Much Love, Rochelle

  2. Belated Happy Birthday to your Kuya Marc! How generous naman your family. More Blessing and good health to you Ms. Rochelle and to your generous family!

  3. Belated Happy Birthday to your Brother in Law. Hospicio de San Jose is also my chosen subject in my thesis. I would be making a campaign for people to help the institution (although this is just for school purposes only); I hope one day, I could bring that to real life. Thank you for sharing this part of your life and for inspiring your readers. :)

  5. This is the best way to celebrate a Birthday !
You're right. Because the feeling of doing good is the best feeling that anyone wanted to feel. May you continue this give a gift para sa mga bata para po kahit na hindi nila kasama ang pamilya nila, maramdaman pa rin nila na di sila nagiisa. Ow ! This is really heart touching Ms. Rochelle. I don't know how to explain ang saya ko ng makita ko to totoo po . kasi gustung-gusto ko rin yung mga ganitong activities. God would really bless you and your family MORE. ^__^

  7. That was so nice of you to share your blessings to those children. Iba kasi talaga ang fulfillment when you share your blessings to others. I often encounter this elderly tricycle driver and everytime I'm his passenger, I let him keep the change tapos when he said "thank you, merry christmas", iba ung feeling na nakatulong ka kahit papaano. So how much more with what you've done with those 100 kids. I bet it fully gave you satisfaction when you saw their smiles when they received your gifts. =)

  8. Nakakatuwa naman yung annual tradition ninyo.. Nakakamiss pumunta jan promise.. I've been there before when we had a school fieldtrip in hospicio wayback 2011.. Im a nursing student and we conduct a health campaign for their nutritional needs. Nkakamiss, we do games also for them and konting salo salo. I remember my dad always says to me "Of all the treasures in the world, there is nothing more precious than giving someone a piece of your heart." And i strongly agree, your not just giving what they need but you give what makes them happy.. Kaya worth it po talaga. So keep it up po, Godbless to you and your family. Merry CHristmass and advance Happy New Year.. :)

  10. Belated Happy Birthday to your Kuya Marc! It is nice that somehow, many are still practicing the essence of giving (Better to give than to receive) . Napaka- heart-whelming ng thought. In his own way and the groups effort, you were able to convey that they are still loved and remembered.
Truly, more blessings will come to you and your extended family for the love and joy you bring.
Oh..and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you :D

  11. So kind :) Many people are doing this too.. instead of giving gifts or spending a lot on birthdays they just donate or celebrate it with people who needs more that will surely make them happy ♥ It feels so good na nakakatulong :) Then you made it a yearly tradition na. Whole family talaga nagbibigay. Really nice ♥ Children are so happy with all the gifts and busog pa! *hehe*

"It is more blessed to give than to receive." ♥♥♥

  12. Nakakatuwang makita yung mga pictures from the event. Ang dami niyo na pong natutulungan in your own little ways. God bless you and your family.

  13. God bless your family, Ms. Rochelle especially Kuya Marc! You all have very generous hearts. I truly bow down to people who have the compassion for the less fortunate. May you continue this birthday tradition forever and i believe that this is something that we all need to do if we have the means to do so. We don't need to be rich to do this but with the help of everybody, this is possible.

Thank you for sharing, I am taking a cue from what Kuya Marc did so I have my birthday plans as early as now. It may not be a jollibee kiddie party but will make a similar one.

It is time to pay it forward. Share our blessings and live the true spirit of Christmas!
